Daniel Joseph Burke

We said goodbye to Daniel Joseph Burke, November 3, 2024, at PRHC , in his 67th year, after a brief illness. 

Danny will be fondly remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon and his presence in our lives will be dearly missed. Dan, son of Isabel Burke,and the late Joseph Burke, brother  of  David, (Janine Malloy) and Jennifer (James Collingridge), His loyal companion, Jack his one eyed cat, will also feel his absence. 

Dan loved water skiing and was a member of the Peterborough Water Ski Club. Dan worked in the family business Quick Chek stores and Hattons Funhouse. He earned a well-deserved retirement from his years at Walmart.  Danny’s empathy and thoughtfulness were known to all that knew him. He was a compassionate caregiver to his mother and they shared many hours, discussing news, politics, and life’s daily happenings. He loved coffee, sports,  holiday gatherings, and E-biking.  Danny’s love for his family and his unwavering kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.         

Keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at Saint Peters cemetery.
