Daniel Leo Moher

Daniel Leo Moher passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Fairhaven Long Term Care Home on Saturday, October 25, 2025. 

Danny was predeceased by his parents Mastai Moher and Margaret Delaney and brothers Joseph (Marie), Carl (Ruth) and Stan (Mary).  Much loved brother of Maryanne Desroche (Frank) and Maureen Moher. 

 Danny was a proud uncle and will be fondly remembered by John Moher (Jeannie), Susan Norton (Thomas), Ellen Rahm (Cecil), Michael Moher (Pearl), Rob Moher (Kathy), Debbie Daley (Kevin);  Trina Moher, Bunny Moher; Todd Moher (Jennifer), Dale Moher; Brian Desroche, Chrissie Desroche and Jeffrey Desroche; as well as 28 great nieces and nephews, including Mickayla for whom he always had a special place in his heart. 

Danny was blessed to have many good friends with most of those friendships going back over 50 years.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff, volunteers, residents and families throughout the Fairhaven Community who made Danny’s stay there so enjoyable.  Special thanks to the staff on Westview 4 for the care and compassion shown Danny during his stay at Fairhaven.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough.  A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough. Father Andrew Begin officiating. Interment taking place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Douro, Ontario, followed by a reception at Highland Park Reception Centre.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Fairhaven Long Term Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
