Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough with his loving family by his side.
David was the devoted husband of 60 years to Brenda Otterwell, and a deeply loved father to Jane Curtin (Tom), Julie Otterwell, Nicola Long (Don), and Chris Otterwell (Sharon). He was a cherished grandfather to Lee Curtin (Kate), Amy Curtin (Jake), Adam Otterwell, Josh Otterwell, Krista Caterer, and Devin Quinn, and a proud great-grandfather to Isabella, Amelia, Emersyn, and Finnegan.
David was an incredibly hard worker, a value he instilled in his children and one of the many ways he led by example. He inherited a love for gardening and fishing from his father and grandfather—passions that brought him peace and joy throughout his life. David also enjoyed watching sports and sharing a cold beer with friends and family.
To those who knew him, David was simply the best—an amazing husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a doting great-grandfather. His presence, guidance, and humour will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at PRHC Palliative Care Unit and Hospice Peterborough, with special gratitude to Dr. Morelli for her exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to Hospice Peterborough.
