TATHAM, David Ernest
Peacefully, with his beloved Deb and her sister Wilda at his side, David Ernest Tatham passed into the presence of his Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
Born in Lakefield to C. Ernest and Beulah Tatham (Northey) on June 5th, 1942.
Brother to Grace Kemp and Paul Tatham (Susan). Predeceased by Ruth Nottage-King (Russell) and Lois Clark (Ron). Brother-in-law to Wilda and Wally Robinson. Fondly remembered Uncle to several nieces and nephews in the U.S and Ontario.
Graduated from FAU in Boca Raton in 1969 to pursue a career in journalism with a position at the Palm Beach Post. In 1972, David and Deb married and moved to Toronto where David worked for the Don Mills Mirror. In 1974 a move to Peterborough brought David into a freelance opportunity with reporting on lacrosse games and photo shoots of many sports activities. He attended an oldtimers’ hockey tournament where he met John Gouett.
Later in 1975, David would become the publisher of the Oldtimers’ Hockey News with the Canadian Oldtimers` Hockey Association in Peterborough founded by John. Upon Retirement in 1997, David began an online ministry of sharing his personal faith in Jesus Christ.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Interment is at St. Mark`s Anglican Cemetery, Otonabee.
