Turcotte, Donna (nee McLaren). Born in Toronto on January 25, 1945. Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Center on June 13, 2026 at the age of 81.
Loving wife and soulmate to Patrick John Turcotte. Mother to James and Amy (Glober) Turcotte. Grandmother to Chivonne Turcotte, Joshua Griffin, Devon Griffin and Braden Griffin. Daughter of the late Ruth Jackson and Bill (William) McLaren, and step-daughter to Ross Clark. Devoted sister to Mary McLaren and the late Brian McLaren, Linda McLaren and the late Hugh McLaren, Hadley MacDonald and Shannon Oliver.
She was a loving sister through Patrick to John & Allison Turcotte, Wayne & Aurora Cruse, Harold & Helen Turcotte, Frank & Edith Turcotte, Josie & Tom Pearson, Theresa & Ray McCoy, Diane & Jim, Reg & Joanne Turcotte, Doreen & Don Clarke, Marie & Ray McCoy, Barb Turcotte, Diane & Jim Robson and Ola & Eddie Dionne.
She was also a wonderful and supportive Aunt to many nieces and nephews through her own direct family as well as Patrick’s and a cherished friend to all who met her.
To anyone who had the honour of knowing Donna, she was a loyal companion, a confidant, and always the strongest person in the room. Telling her something wasn’t possible simply made her dig her heels in and prove you wrong. She could make friends in any situation and always drew people to her with her smile, honesty and generosity.
A Graveside service will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre on July 24, 2026, at 11am with reception to follow in the Reception Centre.
In lieu of flowers, the family would respectfully request donations made in her name to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
