COVERT, Edna Dorine (née Wall)
September 23, 1939 – May 23, 2025
With grace and peace, Edna Dorine Covert passed away at home—just as she had wished—on Friday, May 23, 2025, in her 86th year.
Edna was a gentle, selfless soul who lived a life of quiet strength and deep compassion. Always putting others before herself, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Stanley Covert, who predeceased her in 2018. Together, they shared a life built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to their family.
Edna was the proud and loving mother of Stephen (Liane), Lori, Scott (Heather), and Jeff. She cherished her role as Grandma to Becca, Mack, and Barry, and as Great-Grandma to Savannah, James, Melody, and Brooklyn—each of whom brought her endless joy.
She was predeceased by her siblings Archie, Ivan, Melva, and Beulah, and is lovingly remembered by her brother Verne (Penny) and sister Yvonne (Barry), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
To honour Edna and Don’s beautiful life together, family, friends, and neighbours are warmly invited to join in a celebration of their lives at the family home on Saturday, July 5th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated in Mom’s memory.
Her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit will be missed, but never forgotten.
