BRUCE, Elizabeth Ethel (Betty) (née Cook)

Entered into rest on August 29, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph, Ontario, in her 92nd year.

Beloved and loving wife and Best Friend for 52 years of Eldon Bruce (predeceased May 23, 2002). Loving mother to the late Suzanne (predeceased July 13, 2013), Bernice Twomey (Robert predeceased August 25, 2024), David Bruce (predeceased November 20, 1996), and Randy Bruce (Bonnie). Loving Grandma to Elizabeth, Thomas, David (Dee), Stephanie (Alex) and Katelyn (Craig). Great Grandma to Logan and Destiny.

Second daughter of the late Morley and May Cook (Ivison). Loving sister of Ronnie Cook (late Joan), Lorraine Padget (late Ken) and Kalvin Cook (Marie). Predeceased by sisters and brothers, Francis Bruce (Jim), George Cook, Robert Cook (Hilda), Blanche McPhail (Bill), Yvonne Chambers (Ross), Karen Segriff (Lyle), and Linda Lemon (Peter). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Resting at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, Ontario on Saturday, September 6 with visitation at 9:30 and service at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Mom and the staff of the Highland Park Funeral Centre for their professionalism and compassion.
