Elva Irene (Stabler) Clements

CLEMENTS, Elva Irene (nee Stabler): Peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough with her family by her side on Monday, June 20, 2022 in her 96th year. Irene, beloved wife of the late Earl Clements d. 1988. Predeceased by her parents Audrey Hicks and Allan Stabler and step mother Edna O’Neill.  Loving and devoted mother of Carrol Lange (Brian), Lois Korvin (Peter), Joy Horner (Joe), and Wendy Clements (Harold Hoglund). Remembered lovingly be her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Margaret Lodge (Ron), her brother Edward Stabler (Dorothy) as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn Stabler. Irene was a long time member of Park Street Baptist Church and Lakefield Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for more than 50 years. Her joys in life were working on the farm, painting and art work, sewing, taking walks, but most of all she enjoyed playing the piano which she did up until her 95th year. Visitation at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Monday, June 27th from 1:30 to 2:00pm followed by a Memorial Service in the Highland Chapel at 2:00pm.  Interment St. Mark’s Cemetery, Warsaw.
