Frances Greta (Jenkins) Keightley

January 23, 1945 – March 22, 2025 (age 80)

On March 22, 2025, Frances Greta (Jenkins) Keightley, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto in her 81st year.  Frances was born in Peterborough, Ontario to the late William Russell Jenkins and Irene Frances Kidd.

Frances was the cherished wife of Thomas Keightley for 55 years.  Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and treasured memories.  Frances was a proud and devoted mother to Angela (Dean) and Michelle (Timur) and an adoring grandmother to Reese and Keira.  Frances’ greatest joy was when she was surrounded by family, and her love and devotion to her family were at the heart of everything she did.  Frances retired from her role as executive assistant with the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation to eagerly take on her next role as Nana to Reese and Keira.    

Frances will be lovingly remembered by her dear sister Loa White (William, predeceased).  Frances was sadly predeceased by four siblings and their spouses: Alan Jenkins (Edna), Mary Woodhouse (Vince), Kenneth Jenkins (Dorothy) and Grace Murrie (John).  Remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews, friends and former colleagues, Frances’ strength, warmth and positive energy made an impact on everyone she met.  Frances loved nature and walking through Sunnybrook Park in Toronto with her family or her “Trailblazer” friends Barb and Janet. 

Frances’ life will be celebrated in a private family service at Highland Park Funeral Centre in Peterborough, ON.  She will be deeply missed and will be always and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation in her memory.
