It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank John Fisher, who departed this life after a fierce and courageous battle with cancer.
Frank was the devoted and unwavering caregiver to his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Fisher, who he was married to for almost 60 years, standing by her side as her rock, her protector, and her lifeline. His love and loyalty to Lizzy were nothing short of heroic, and his legacy of care and compassion will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
Frank is survived by Lizzy, his cherished wife and partner in life; his sons Keith Fisher and Michael Fisher (Jennifer); and his grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary, Eveline, Chloe, and Charles.
Beyond his deep devotion to family, Frank was a man of many passions. He found joy in travel and was happiest with his feet in the sand, soaking in the beauty of beaches near and far, his favourite in Barbados. He had a true talent for craftsmanship and furniture refinishing, always bringing new life to worn pieces with care and precision.
Frank’s life was defined by quiet strength, boundless love, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys and the finer things in life. He will be remembered always for his selfless heart, his fierce loyalty, and the immeasurable grace with which he gave everything he had to those he loved.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at Beaver Narrows Park in Omemee where Frank and Liz spent many joyous years on Sunday August 31st at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Frank’s memory to a cancer research foundation or multiple sclerosis foundation.
Forever in our hearts, his love and legacy live on.
