Freda (Adshead) Cunliffe

Freda Cunliffe, a cherished wife, mother,  grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the remarkable age of 100 on February 28th.  Freda was born in England in 1924 and she immigrated to Canada with her husband and 3 young children in 1957.  Scarborough was home but many happy memories came from family gatherings, time spent at the cottage  and extensive travels throughout Europe,  the USA and the Caribbean. Freda was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Vin  and her beloved daughter, Maureen Mak. She will be forever remembered by her daughter Pat Arppe and son Paul Cunliffe,  daughter-in-law Carol Cunliffe and sons-in-law Elio Chiarot and John Mak.  Her 6 grandchildren Shannon (Roland), Ryan (Anja), Kevin (Christine), Kristian (Andrea) , Nikki and Sean (Paula) and her great grandchildren Dominic,  Lucas and Sydney brought her much joy. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Saturday March 22nd at 2:30 pm with refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers,  donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
