BEAN, Geoffrey Wade
Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Hospice Peterborough on Friday, June 27, 2025, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Cheryl (née Thurston) for 47 years. Loving father of Joshua (Brynna), Amanda, and reunited with his son, Jeremy. Cherished Pops of Michael, Ellie, Percy, and Beatrice. Dear son of Mary (née Cummings), predeceased by his father, William Douglas Bean and sister, Susan. Brother of Doug and Gord. Brother-in-law to Donna Dorris (Don Bull), Karen Rathwell (the late Jack), and Graham Thurston. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Geoff enjoyed coaching, spending time at the rink, working on the farm, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was a proud employee of Fisher Gauge Ltd. and General Electric. A Celebration of Geoffrey’s Life will be held at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough, on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow. In memory of Geoffrey, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough or the UHN Liver Transplant Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
