George Franklin Butt

BUTT, George Franklin, passed away peacefully at Canterbury Gardens at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Florence, loving father of Wendy (Miki), Shelley (Fred), and Jennifer (Ryan). Dear brother of Celia and Bill, he will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Anna, Nick (Amanda), Helena (Jamie), Cameron (Casey), Matthew, Benjamin (Lyndsey), Christiana, Ryan (Kelsey), Joseph, and Emma (Lyndon), and by his great grandchildren, Willow, Claire, Ellie, Berkeley, Briar, Benji, Eli, and Lorelei. George loved his career working as a chemical engineer for Raybestos Manhattan (later Midland), was a tireless supporter of the Peterborough Science Fair and spent many years volunteering for Canadian Executive Services Overseas. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at 2 PM at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, with visitation one hour prior. Donations can be made to https://www.ceso-saco.com.
