STOBBART, George - It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of George Stobbart at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on December 26, 2025.
Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Jean, devoted father of Cathy (Phil) and predeceased by their son Greg (Eleanor) and daughter Jan. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Noah), Stacey (Arthur) and Christina (Justin) and great-grandchildren Carter, Owen, Andrew, Banks and Alina.
George will be missed and loved by his brother Jim (Marilyn) and sister-in-law Joan (Dave), predeceased sisters Jane, and Brenda (Herb). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, his best friend Harry Brailsford and his many other friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses including the charge nurse, Trent Vokins and Dr. Allen who attended to George's care.
At George's request, there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
