Gilbert "Gibby" Hendry

With great sadness we announce that our beloved Gibby passed away peacefully at Peterborough Hospice on Saturday May 11th 2019 surrounded by his loving family in his 85th year.  He was a retiree of Canada post after 31 years.  Beloved husband of Alexanderina “Zena” Hendry (Nee Hannah).  Loving and devoted father of Paul, Don and Annette (Leo Aube) Hendry.  Cherished “Pappy” of Kayla (Jayson) Beauregard and Amy (Jake) Campbell.  “Great Pappy” of Blake Beauregard.  Dear brother of Violet Moncur and brother in-law of Elizabeth “Liz” Moran (Jimmy).  Pre deceased by his sisters Ella Brown (Larry), Margaret Pilon (Fred), Jesse Beck (Harry), Averil McLeod (Joe) and brothers Bill Hendry (Ellen) and Lennox Hendry.  Son of the late William and Jemimah (nee Price) Hendry. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends and acquaintances.  Relatives and friends are invited to a service to honour Gibby at Highland Park Funeral Centre located at 2510 Bensfort Road on Saturday May 18th, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
