Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Glenn Alan Jones on November 14, 2025, at the age of 66, after a long-fought battle with cancer.

Born on December 26, 1958, beloved son of Paul Robert Jones (deceased) and Gloria Jean Jones (nee McCall). Survived by wife, Debbie Jones (nee Barnes) of 40 years. Wonderful son in law to Tom and Novita Barnes (deceased). Proud father of Dustin Johnson (Patricia). Stepfather to William Pataky (Katie), Robin Leahy and Andrea Plumley (Troy). Glenn’s greatest blessings were his grandchildren, Ethan, Julia, Owen, Ava, Jessica and Layn. Great grandfather to Hanna. Oldest brother to Terry (Christine) and Kirk (Patricia). Brother-in-Law to Michael and Alan Barnes, Tami Bowes (Eric) and Linda Peirce. Grandson to Jake and Marge McCall (deceased). He will be greatly missed by many friends, close-knit aunts, uncles and cousins. Glenn’s best friend, Dave Ochitwa, was his trusted pal for over 35 years. Continually by his side driving to Toronto for appointments and helping with many things over the years, including working alongside Glenn in his business.

Glenn was the proud owner/operator of Kawartha Furnace Ltd. for over 20 years, passed on to him by his father. He was very dedicated and devoted to his customers and was a respected member of his community. Glenn’s hobbies were bowling, playing pool, golfing and tinkering in “The Shop”. His ultimate hobby, notably, was Nascar racing. He especially loved his time and friends from Canadian Tire Speedway (Mosport) and the many memories he created there.
