Gloria Jean Lamond Obituary

Lamond, Gloria-Jean (nee Wade, Retired Registered Practical Nurse): Peacefully at Hospice Peterborough with her family by her side on Sunday, April 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gloria, beloved wife of 53 years to Darrell. Loving mother of Tania and Marisha (Frank). Cherished grandmother of Rayna and Carson. Dear sister of Richard Wade (Wanda) and Debbie Soucie (Paul). Daughter of the late Douglas Wade and Jean (nee Goodison). Gloria will forever be remembered for her love of nature and animals, her witty sense of humour, her infectious smile, and her devotion to her family. We are grateful to Dr. Christopher Blake and the Palliative Care and Hospice Peterborough nurses for the care and compassion shown to Gloria during her illness. Thank you also to our family, church community, friends, neighbours, and co-workers for your loving support and kindness. We appreciate the spiritual help of Fr. Leo Coughlin and Fr. Peter Seabrooke as well as the prayers and support from the Sisters of St. Joseph during this difficult time. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre when we can all gather safely and will be announced at a future date. In Gloria’s memory, donations to Hospice Peterborough or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
