Hazel (Morin) Hawkins

HAWKINS, Hazel: We give thanks to God for the life of Hazel Hawkins (Morin) who died peacefully at her daughter’s home on May 22, 2026, surrounded by family.

Hazel is predeceased by her parents Clifford Morin and Pauline Picktel and brother Clifford, her husband George Hawkins (1999) and her eldest three children,  Daniel (Cecilia), in  2025, Gary (Nathalie) in 2010 and Diana (Ron) in 2018. She is survived by a long lost sister, Doreen and her daughter Sherry (Sean). She will be missed by her 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Hazel was born in 1930 in St. Lambert Quebec and spent her early childhood in her much-loved Clarenceville before moving to Montreal where she met her husband and raised four children. She lived her last 6 years with her daughter Sherry (Sean) and family who were with her when her last breath brought to a close a long and storied life. It is a life we thank God for, filled as it was with His love and mercy.
