James Gordon Marshall

It is with great sadness that Jim’s family announces his passing in Lakefield at 96 years on July 30, 2025.  He is predeceased by his wife June (Hie) of 71 years, his parents George and Annie Marshall and his siblings George, Dorothy, Roy, William. Alfred (Ted), Stanley (Vern), Grace and Donald.  He will be forever missed by his children Gregory (Bonnie) and Lori (Michael Cummings), his grandchildren

Katherine (Brian), Michael, Carl (Rhonda), Patricia (Darryl) and Alex (Nicole) and Laura (Giovanni). He was great-grandfather to Robert, Devan, and Katelynn, Cole and Natalie, Hailey and John, Teddy and Zoe and Javier and Sebastian.  He will be missed by his nieces and nephews.  He is survived by his beloved sister-in-law, Evelyn Griffin of Haliburton. Jim worked at Westclox as a skilled tradesman for 36 years.  He was an avid golfer and a member at Kawartha Golf Club for many years. He was a lifelong member of George Street United Church (now Emmanuel United Church).  Thanks to the staff at Extendicare in Lakefield for the care Dad received while there.  A Celebration of Life Service will take place at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road Peterborough, on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2:30 pm with reception to follow.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.
