James 'Jim' Jameson Brown

BROWN, James (Jim) Passed away at PRHC on June 25, 2022 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of 67 years to Shirley (Cordell). Dear Father of Dave, Don (Susanne), Dan (Amanda) and Tania (Mark). Much loved Papa of Amy, Natalie, Matthew, James, Mitchell, Renee, Hansen, Aaron, Brendan, Benjamin and Jacob; step grandchildren, Melissa and Sarah, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his Mother and Father and 11 siblings. Jim worked 30 plus years at General Electric Peterborough, finishing his career as the Manager of Customs. He built his first family home on River Road South in Peterborough in 1959. Jim was a devoted and loving husband, father and Papa. He was so loved and will be forever missed. He was a generous, compassionate and giving person to his many friends and community. Special thanks to palliative care nurses Ashton and Karly for their compassionate care. As per Jim’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at Highland Park Funeral Centre. In memory of Jim donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
