In the company of her family and friends, Jean Ester English passed peacefully in her sleep, a few weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Jean will be remembered for her warm and unconditional love. Until her last days, Jean was making jokes and bringing an unexpected smile to those around her.
Predeceased by her husband Willard English, sister Joy Reid and brother Bob Allen.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Peter (Chantelle), Michael (Kate) and Nicole (Anina/Debby). Loving Nana to Sophie, Liam, Brandon (Alicia), Carter, Callie, Matthew, Theo, Amira, and Cash. Great-Nana to Addie, Cooper and Aurora Jean. Fondly missed by her brother Bill (Rita), many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Jean moved to her final home with Nicole's family, where she enjoyed the vibrancy of her grandchildren and her continued independence.
The family wish to thank the amazing staff at Hospice Peterborough for the compassion they showed Jean and her family. In memory of Jean, donations can be made to Hospice Peterborough.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Sunday July 20, 2025 from 1-4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52. 1550 Lansdowne Street W. Peterborough
