Jean Marilyn (Bell) Gibeault

Jean Marilyn Bell Gibeault was born June 4, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario. Died at Hospice Peterborough August 12, 2026, surrounded with love from her husband, Bill (William), son, Mark (wife Heather), daughters, Nicole and Rae, and granddaughter, Kole. She was 83 years old. She will be missed by her other grandchildren: Skylar, Brooke, and Dane. Loved by Paisley Gibeault (predeceased, 2020).

She was born in Toronto, Ontario, where she met and married Bill on September 1, 1961.

Jean was the heart of the Gibeault family, creating a home where everyone was welcomed, loved, and made to feel they belonged. She was an avid artist, finding joy and expression through tole painting and watercolour. Her creativity extended to writing and poetry, where she could put her thoughts, observations, and imagination into words.

The family would like to extend their gratitude towards the staff and doctors at Peterborough Regional Health Centre as well as those at Hospice Peterborough. In lieu of flowers, a donation towards either organization or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

There will be a remembrance gathering on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Gibeault residence.
