Jean Mary (Powers) Higgins

HIGGINS, Jean Mary (nee Powers) – With her beloved daughters by her side, Jean passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Jean is survived by her loving daughters Tammy Higgins (Peter Herwynen) and Tracey Cockfield; cherished grandchildren Lauren Ellen Cockfield, Ellen Everson and Will Everson; dear siblings Shirley Powers-DeNoble (Frank DeNoble), Len Powers (Bonnie) and Ray Powers (Barb); supportive friends Ted Higgins and Rosemary Rutledge; and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. Jean is predeceased by her parents Ed and Lil Powers (nee Coward) and sisters Sylvia Groome, Mary Webb (the late Paul) and Pat Morton (the late Ralph). Jean’s daughters wish to extend special thanks to the staff at Hospice Peterborough for their wonderful care of mom. In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private celebration of her life at a later date.
