Jean Marilyn (Rathbun) Smith

SMITH, Jean Marilyn: Peacefully passed away, at Hospice Peterborough with her loving family by her side on Saturday, April 12, 2025 in her 92nd year. Jean, beloved wife of 66 years to the late Bob Smith. Loving and devoted mother of Steven and his wife Wendy, Sue Gauthier and her husband Mike, Cathy Morrison and her husband Warren, and Jim and his wife Lois. Cherished Grandmother of Adam Gauthier, Ashley Cameron (Shane), Alex Smith, Chandra Kowalski (Mark). Meaghan and the late Michael Jr.  Great Grandmother of Loretta Cameron and Erika Kowalski. Remembered  lovingly by her many nieces and nephews and by her dear friend Linda Shearer. Survived by her sisters-in-law Barbara Mowat and Virginia Smith. Predeceased by her brother Ron Rathbun. Daughter of the late Earl Rathbun and May Brooks. A very special thank-you for the incredible care from PRHC including Dr. Erin Nishikawa, and Hospice Peterborough. Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre, on Tuesday, April 22 from 12:00PM to 1:30PM.  Funeral Service in the Highland Chapel at 2:00PM followed by a light luncheon. Interment to take place at Albury Cemetery (Albury, Ontario) at a later date. In her memory, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated by her family.
