Joan "Peggy" (Vansickle) Moon

MOON, Joan "Peggy": Peacefully at PRHC with her loving family by her side on Friday, December 27, 2024 in her 82nd year. Peggy, beloved wife of 56 years to the late David Moon (d. 2023). Loving and devoted mother of Debbie Mahoney (Pat), and Stephanie Berkenbosch (Ben). Cherished Grandmother of Zachary (Nash), Devon (Jordan), Emma (Sam), Conner, and Jaxson. Dear sister of Shirley Mazur (Wally), and predeceased by her brother Bill Vansickle. Daughter of the late Eldon Vansickle and Laura McGregor. Peggy was a long time hairdresser in Peterborough and touched the lives of countless clients she encountered during her long and fulfilling career. Peggy was an artist and had a great interest in the art world. She took great pleasure in being part of local art groups and was actively involved in taking art courses. She was a world traveller and loved to experience the cultures of exotic and unusual destinations. She was passionate about gardening and took great pride in the variety of plants and flowers in and around her home. But most important to Peggy was her family, children, grandchildren and close friends, and was happiest in their company. She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd., on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
