Jocelyn Kate (Dyon) MacLeod

MACLEOD, Jocelyn Kate (nee Dyon): Peacefully at Springdale Country Manor on Saturday, May 24, 2025 in her 98th year. Jocelyn, beloved wife of the late James Robert MacLeod. Loving and devoted mother of Dr. Scott MacLeod (Sue), Duncan MacLeod (Jane), and the late Ian MacLeod. Cherished Grandmother of Sheila, Andrew, David, Cory (Kristina), Heather, and great Grandmother of Kai and Kylie. Sister of the late Mary Patterson (Jim, predeceased). Daughter of then late Joshua Dyon and Florence Aitken. Jocelyn met Bob at the Toronto YMCA in 1948 and married in October 1949. In 1950 they moved west to Winnipeg. Four years later they moved to Peterborough where they lived on Wolsely street for 60 years. Following Bob’s passing, Jocelyn moved to Rubidge Retirement Residence and then eventually settled in Springdale Manor. Her family are grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to Jocelyn during her time with them. Jocelyn was immensely proud of her Scottish heritage. She loved the bagpipes and they will be part of her funeral service.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, May 30th at 10:00am in the Highland Park Funeral Centre Chapel.  Interment Highland Park Cemetery followed by a light lunch in the Highland Reception Centre.  In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by her family.
