John Edward Effer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Edward Effer, who left us peacefully on September 4, 2025, at PRHC, at the age of 82.

Born in Ipswich, England, in 1943, John built a full and meaningful life defined by love, dedication, and family. He was the beloved husband of Sherilyn Effer, and the cherished widower of his first wife, Janet Effer. John was a proud and loving father to his son, David Effer (Janelle), and his daughter, Krista Effer and grandfather to Jacob and Mikayla.

John will be remembered for his warmth, his quiet strength, fierce independence and the care he gave to those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A service and interment will be held at Mount Horeb Cemetery, 117 Hillhead Rd, Reaboro, Ontario, on September 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Friends and family wishing to share memories or offer condolences may forward them to Highland Park Funeral Centre.

John's life was one of love and resilience, and though he is gone, his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to those who knew him.
