John Eric Goodbody

With his friend Ron by his side, John passed away peacefully after a three week stay at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 71. John was born on July 9, 1953, and spent his childhood in Scarborough, later moving with his wife to Ennismore. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Janet Goodbody of 48 years. John leaves behind his dog Charlee. Dear Uncle of Ashley and Jennifer Hinchliffe, and Great Uncle of Olivia and Luca. Cherished life-long friend of Ron and Janice Hinchliffe. John will be fondly remembered for his love of travelling and Nascar which he enjoyed with his wife. After retiring John took up a new hobby of woodworking making many wonderful pieces for his wife and friends. His last project was a box for Jan’s remains which he completed the week before he went to the hospital. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
