O’BRIEN, John Francis: Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with family by his side on Sunday, November 17th, 2024 in his 78th year. John, beloved husband of Dianne (nee Wilson). Loving and devoted father of Marie Alexander (Curtis), John O’Brien (Alyssa), and step-father to Carol Shaughnessy (Mike), and Julie Keates (Dave). Cherished Grandpa to April, Robert; Caden, Kennedy; Jake, Michaela, and Great Grandpa to Blair, Eithan, Keegan, and Rylan. Dear brother of Barbara Munro (Peter, predeceased), Douglas O’Brien, and predeceased by his sister Sharron Trudeau. Remembered lovingly by his sister-in-law Dee Little and her husband Wayne. Son of the late Patrick O'Brien and Julia Boucher. John was a longtime owner and operator of his Insulation Company that he and Dianne started many years ago. He loved antique cars and often could be found restoring them. Many friendships were formed over the years at antique car shows. Fishing was one of John’s favourite past times. Many an afternoon was spent with his buddy Dave on the lakes in and around Peterborough. Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Thursday, November 21st from 11:00am to 12:30 pm followed by a Funeral Service in the Highland Chapel at 1:00pm. Reception in Highland Reception Centre followed by interment in Fraserville Cemetery.
