John Robert Punshon

PUNSHON, John Robert: July 26, 1948-May 28, 2022.  John passed in the early morning hours at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.  He was surrounded by the love of his family.  John was the beloved husband of Joan Mary (Coss).  June 29, 2022 would have been their 54th wedding anniversary.  John was the cherished father of Jennifer Punshon, Christine Mok (Brian) and Elizabeth Punshon.  He was the beloved grandfather of Nathan and James Mok.  John leaves behind his sister Susan Thompson (Mark Gibson).   John will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, who all loved him dearly.  John was a hard working man.  He was born in Toronto, but spent many years in Bancroft.  He moved to Peterborough and became a draftsman at the CGE and it was there he met and fell in love with Joan.  He then worked for many years at Fisher Gauge before he branched off to start his own successful computer business, Klear Concept.  John's visitation will be held at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road on Thursday, June 2nd from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by a Funeral Service in the Highland Chapel at 1:00pm. Fr. Leo Coughlin officiating. Reception to follow in the Highland Reception Centre. In John's memory, donations to Covenant House and Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
