Murdock, Joseph Alexander “Sandy”

Sandy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday April 10, 2022. Beloved husband and best friend of Angela (Woodward) and devoted father to Alec and Liam.

Predeceased by his father, Joseph Murdock. Sandy is survived by his mother, June Murdock, sisters Jennifer Burke (Stuart) and Kathy Lantz, parents-in-law, Bob and Joyce Woodward, sisters-in-law, Lorna Landry (Barry), Shelley Woodward and Robin Steiginga (Richard).

He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Dylan, Jessica, Matthew, Ben (Jessica), Jacquie, Justine, Kaitlin, Miranda and James. “Gruncle” Sandy will be missed by his great nieces, April and Sophia. His loyal canine companion, Strider, will miss him daily.

His brothers and sisters from the Hasty P’s and his friends (known as the “Dragonsbite” group) will remember him always. A private family service will be held at Highland Park.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 6, 2022 at the Peterborough Legion from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and registering as an organ donor.
