After two weeks of “Baby Jesus” visiting Pauline, nightly in her dreams, Pauline passed away at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Walter Whaley. Loving mother of Paula Goodfellow Meyer, Nancy DesJardine (Ron), Fred Brett (Larisa), and the late Daniel Goodfellow Jr. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Henderson, Summer Meyer (Phil Abbott), Jamus Meyer, Jordan Brett, Connor Brett (Summer), Matthew Brett, Karter Brett and Emma Brett. Great grandmother of Isabelle, Elizabeth, Edward, Charlie and Maizleigh. Dear sister of June Leeson, the late Joan Deal, Jim Byer (Elsie), Robert Byer, the late Joanne, Peter Byer (Clare), Paul Byer (Dianne) and Patricia Gordon (Robert).
Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 11:00 - 12:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM in the Highland Park Chapel. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall 317 Hunter Street Peterborough. A very special thank you to the nurses, doctors, geriatric doctors, physiotherapists, recreational coordinator, pastoral care and support staff at PRHC who took such amazing care of Pauline, and amazing staff at Total Physiotherapy, Paramedics, VON & Community Programs in Lakefield, Peterborough, Napanee and Kingston, Pauline’s special caregiver and friend Karen; kind, caring, compassionate & respectful Dr. Erin Beattie/team, Dr. Rick Millson. Dr. Aviad Elgez ND & Soraj Kashyap Homeopath Dr, and to all those who added so much to her quality of life, including her favorite clothing store Tragically Hipp in Lakefield.
