Julia Anette (Beresford) Rosebush

ROSEBUSH, Julia Anette (nee Beresford): Peacefully at PRHC Palliative Care with her family by her side on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the age of 80 years. Julia, beloved wife of forty-two years to Paul Anthony Rosebush. Loving and devoted mother to Matthew Prendergast (Erin Hay), Miranda Prendergast, Paul Michael Rosebush, and Francesca Rosebush (Yves Desjardins). Cherished Grandmother to August, Sophia, Lexi, and Dawson. Dear sister of Andrew Beresford (Kathie), Diane Beresford (Terry House, pre-deceased), and sister-in-law to Christine Richardson (Kenn), and Antonia Cranmer (Robert). Remembered lovingly by her mother-in-law Antonia Rosebush (Ward, predeceased), as well as several nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Ken and Sheila Beresford.

Julia was born in Essex England and, as her father Ken was a BOAC Airline Manager, she spent her childhood being raised in exotic locations such as Tripoli Libya, Dakar Senegal, Calcutta India, and Nassau Bahamas, before arriving in Canada at age 15 to live first in Gander Newfoundland and then Montreal.  In between her father’s postings to various countries Julia resided with her family in Frimley England.

Julia graduated from Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montreal and had her work exhibited on tour across Canada. In her early career Julia taught Kindergarten and managed a bookstore before raising her four children. Julia loved all art forms, gardening and reading. Her house was always beautifully decorated with curated pieces and careful arrangement. Her family and her dogs were the focus of her daily life.

Relatives and friends are invited to Julia’s Memorial Service in Highland Park Funeral Centre on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:30am. Interment Highland Park Cemetery followed by a light luncheon in the Highland Reception Centre. In her memory, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of PRHC would be appreciated by her family.
