June Winnifred (Hie) Marshall

It is with great sadness that June’s family announces her passing in Peterborough in her 94th year on January 8, 2025.  She is predeceased by her parents Milton and Marjorie Hie and her sister Nola Strizic (late Joseph).  She will be forever missed by her husband of 71 years, Jim and her children Gregory (Bonnie) and Lori (Michael Cummings), and her grandchildren Katherine (Brian), Michael, Carl (Rhonda), Patricia (Darryl) and Alex (Nicole) and Laura (Giovanni).  She was great-grandmother to Robert, Devan, and Katelynn, Cole and Natalie, Hailey and John, Teddy and Zoe and Javier and Sebastian.  She will be missed by her sister Evelyn Griffin (late Neil) and her nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date. The family would like to thank Drs. Webster, Gifford and Hughes for her care, the staff at the Wellness Centre at Kawartha Heights Retirement Living and the staff in the palliative ward at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by her family.
