It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Rolf Schmuki on August 14, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Karl will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, June; his son, Daryl; daughter-in-law, Joanne; and cherished grandchildren, Karlo and Giovanna. He is also survived by his siblings, Hildegard, Peter, and Diane, who will fondly remember his warmth, humour, and generosity of spirit.
Karl’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his warm, kind-hearted nature. He had a lifelong passion for cars, whether admiring their craftsmanship, maintaining them with care, or sharing that enthusiasm with others. Above all, he treasured time spent with his loved ones, finding joy in the simple moments together.
As per Karl’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to organizations dedicated to Parkinson’s research is appreciated, in honour of Karl and hope for a cure.
