We are saddened to announce the passing of Ken Kerr, age 99, on Tuesday January 16th, 2024 at Extendicare Lakefield. Ken Kerr of Peterborough Ontario was the beloved father of Linda Fedorowich (Rudy) of Peterborough and Steve Kerr (Maureen) of Peterborough. Devoted Grandfather of Aaron (Diane) of Scarborough, Natalie Fedorowich (Brandon) of Bowmanville and Tyler Kerr (Alayna) of Merritt B.C. Loving great-grandfather of Kaiya, Oliver, and Lincoln Fedorowich- Turner and Kylynn Kerr. Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife, Brenda Grace Kerr (Hosking) 2007 and his parents Robert Stewart Kerr and Hazel May Purdon.

Ken was born January 10, 1925 in Powassan On. He spent much of his childhood with his many cousins (Kerr's, MacGregor's, and Purdon's) all around the Powassan area. He loved the sports hockey and baseball.

During WW11 Ken served from August 31, 1943 to October 4, 1945. After the war he worked for CNR until he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served from September 14, 1946 to January 11, 1970 when he was honourably released as a Sergeant. During his years in the Canadian Forces he, along with his family, moved approximately every 3 years, living in Chatham N.B., Ottawa O.N., Comox B.C., Cold Lake A.B., Germany, France and returned to Chatham N.B in 1968. After returning from the RCAF, Ken and his family settled in Peterborough, ON where he worked at the post office and the Co-Operator's after which he retired at age 60. He and Brenda loved spending time at their cottage on Kamaniskeg Lake. Ken liked to golf, fish, hunt, water sports and take his dogs for long walks. He liked to socialize with friends enjoying a few drinks of rum and a good game of cards.
