Larry Glen Juszczynski

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Larry Glen Juszczynski, who passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton, Alberta on February 7, 2026, at the age of 74.

Larry was born on March 1, 1951, in Eagle Lake, Ontario, and was raised in Peterborough, Ontario. He was the beloved son of the late Beatrice Juszczynski (McColl) and the late Frank Juszczynski.

Larry is predeceased by his sisters Helen Juszczynski (August 2017) and Lynn Juszczynski (June 2025). Larry will be forever missed by his loving sister Susie Juszczynski-Lunn.

Larry was the father of Tammy Juszczynski Banks, Shelly Grey, Jennifer Juszczynski, and Larry Juszczynski Jr, and was a Grandpa and Papa to many grandchildren who brought him great joy.

He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Larry shared a special bond with his aunts and uncles and family in the Haliburton area, who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly. Larry has many relatives in Warsaw, Poland as well.

Larry spent 45 years living in Alberta, where he built both his life and career. Over the years he operated a roofing and construction business in Calgary and in Edmonton, diamond mined in Guyana and later worked as a heavy equipment operator on the pipelines throughout northern Alberta.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed going to the mountains to hunt and fish. Larry was known for his great sense of humour, his love of laughter, and his ability to make those around him smile and laugh. He also enjoyed watching hockey and had a keen interest in world politics, often sharing his very humorous thoughts, anecdotes and hilarious opinions with friends and family.

Larry loved his family and shared a lifelong, special bond with his sisters. He had many friends over the years who will remember him for his humour, his strong spirit, and the many laughs they shared together.

A small graveside service and Interment will take place at the family plots at Highland Park Cemetery in Peterborough, Ontario on Saturday, Oct 24, 2026 at 12:30 pm.

Though he is gone from our sight, Larry’s laughter, stories, and love of the outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Larry you will be dearly missed by those who cared about you and loved you. Rest peacefully
