NOYES, Lois Josephine (nee McKay): Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at PRHC on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 in her 93rd year. Lois, beloved wife of the late Roger Noyes (d. 1976). Loving and devoted mother of George (Janet), Elizabeth (Andy Huizinga), Kathleen (James Caldwell, d. 2018), and Peter (Donna). Cherished Grandma of Zachary (Meagan), Katherine (Trevor), Isaac (Victoria), Nick, Krista, Kyra, Jillian and Mitchell, and GG of Easton. Sister-in-law of Liz Radzick, Martha and Doug Bentley, and Ivan Bateman. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Daughter of the late Frank McKay and Mary Anderson and pre-deceased by her brother Clare McKay, in-laws Janice McKay, John and Marion Noyes, Carol Bateman, Peg and Bill Wakeford.
Lois was a long-time member of the St. Alban’s (1958-2013) and All Saints’ (2013-2026) Anglican Churches where she served in many capacities including choir director, warden, chalice bearer and lay reader. She was also the VP of the Mothers/Friendship club at St. Alban’s. She was a volunteer as a Community Care driver, school lunchroom helper, educational assistant and volunteer at local school libraries but her family was her first love. Lois was a very social person and she loved to spend time at the family cottage on West Twin Lake, north of Havelock.
The family would like to thank the PSWs who provided home care to Lois and to all the staff in the Palliative Care Unit (D2) at the PHRC for their care and compassion during her time there.
Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Sunday April 26th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service in All Saints Anglican Church on Monday, April 27th at 11:00am with visitation in the church from 10:00 until time of service. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Havelock. In memory of Lois, and in lieu of flowers, donations to 4th Line Theatre or All Saints’ Anglican Church (Food Bank) would be appreciated by her family.
