LACEY, Lorraine Yvonne
It is with deep sadness and sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of Lorraine Lacey on May 26, 2025, at the age of 96. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Lorraine was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Lacey. Youngest of twelve, Lorraine is predeceased by her siblings Dorothy, Edna, Homer, Fred, Isabel, Harry, Vernon, Marjorie, Leonard, Kenneth, and Reginald. Lorraine frequently spoke fondly of their strong bonds and the good times while usually gathered with music and dancing with her immediate family. We take comfort knowing she is celebrating once again with all of them.
Loving Aunt, Great-Aunt and Great-Great-Aunt to so many nieces and nephews, these titles not representing the extent of the amazing relationships she built. Aunt Lorraine was a strong, independent woman with a generous heart. She shared her love abundantly and helped to guide us all as we grew up. We hope to find strength in one another as we remember how proud she was of all of us. Our love goes with her. You will forever be in our hearts.
Friends will be received at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, Ontario on Saturday, May 31st from 2-4pm. A private family graveside service followed by her Celebration of Life will take place in Toronto on Sunday. We miss you Aunt Lorraine — rest in the light of our Lord.
