STEENBURGH, Lucy Mary (nee Steedman) (Retired Police Matron and Jail Guard)

Peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice Peterborough on Friday, January 1, 2021.  Beloved mother of Julie Hignett and her husband Bryan and Belinda Ginter and her husband Derek.  Cherished grandmother of Bryan, Christopher, Natel and Gavin.  Dear sister of Tom Steedman and his wife Muriel, Mike Steedman and his wife Cathy, Bill Steedman and the late June Hall.  Lucy will be sadly missed by her nieces Cathy (Steve), Sharon (Ron) and Tracy and her nephew Jimmy and grand nieces and nephews.  Lucy will be greatly missed by her beloved fur baby Chiquita.  In accordance with Lucy’s wishes, cremation and taken place and there will be a graveside service held a later date.   The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jonathan Mallory and all the staff and physicians at the PRHC Palliative Care Unit and Hospice Peterborough for their kind compassionate care.
