Maria (Battaglini) Bonneau

BONNEAU, Maria (nee Battaglini): Peacefully at PRHC surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in her 84th year. Maria is survived by her loving daughter Lisa and adoring grandson Mathew. Predeceased by her parents Gracia and Phillippe Battaglini of Pescara, Italy, her husband Thomas Bonneau, and companion John Landry (d. Oct. 4, 2021). Also predeceased by siblings Ada, Tony, Titto, Guido, and Nicola Battaglini. Beloved aunt of Maria Fitzgerald (Brian) of Peterborough, Kevin Battaglini of Alberta, Fr. Gio Battaglini (predeceased), Philip (Norma),  James Battaglini of Ottawa, and Grace Goddard (Ralph)of St. Catherines. Loving great aunt of Kevin Fitzgerald (Lauren), Garrett (Kimberley) of Peterborough, and Zach and Daniel Goddard of St. Catherine’s, Mitchel, Ryan, Justina, Colten Battaglini of Alberta. Extra special great great Aunt of Loghan, Owen, Aidan, and Alaina Fitzgerald. Maria will be sorely missed by her many dear card fans. An outstanding seamstress, Maria enjoyed tatting, crocheting, gardening ‘playing in the dirt’, and was a fantastic cook. The family extends special thanks to the B5 and ICU staff and specialist Doctor’s at PRHC for their compassionate care. Donations to PRHC for new Catheratization Equipment or the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family. Visitation at the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains, Reid Street, on Monday, October 25th, 2021 from 9:30 am until Funeral Mass time at 11:00am. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
