December 18, 1938 – February 25, 2021

DOWDALL, Edith Marie (nee Mitchell) Passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at Hospice Peterborough at the age of 82.  Beloved wife of Allan  who passed away in 2017,  and much loved mother of Rick (Diana), the late Gary & Kevin, Jeff (Linda) and Chris (Melissa).  Oma and grandmother to Kate, Joshua, Zachary, Julia, Vivian, Jocelyn, and Faith.  Sister to Betty Dowdall (Jim).  Predeceased by her parents Syd and Mary Mitchell.  Marie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and all who knew her.  A special thank you and appreciation to Dr. Beamish, PRHC Palliative Care Unit, and Hospice Peterborough.  Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held Saturday, September 11th, 2:30 p.m., at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road.   The public are invited to join the service via livestream (by going to www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com; select Edith Marie Dowdall’s obituary, scroll down and select the Zoom link highlighted in blue.  Zoom App will be required).  In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated by the family.  Interment will be held at Emily Cemetery, Omemee, Ontario.
