CERVENY, Marilyn Helen (nee: Coveney)

On Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 in her 81st year, Marilyn, passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, with family by her side. Beloved wife of 56 years to Jack Cerveny. Loving and devoted mother of Catherine Cerveny (Steve) and Paul Cerveny (Jessica). Cherished Grandma of Lily and Ellee. Dear sister of Patricia Nemec (Ed), Maureen O’Keefe (Denis), Janet Feddock (Ed, predeceased), Carol Harren (Vaughn), Suzanne Wood (Allan), Rosanne Green (Greg), and the late Elaine Crough (Mike, predeceased). Sister-in-law of Mary Dixon (Ken) and the late James Cerveny. Special aunt and great-aunt to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late William Coveney and Eileen Sullivan. From growing up on the farm in Hastings to her dedicated 40 year career as a Registered Nurse, first at St Joseph’s and then at Peterborough Civic Hospital, Marilyn brought comfort and love to all who crossed her path. Visitation will be at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Friday, January 24th from 4:00 to 7:00pm with a Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains on Saturday, January 25th at 10:00am. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery will be followed by a reception at Highland Park Funeral Centre.
