Huggins, Marilyn Irene (nee Young)

October 19, 1954 to February 2, 2021

It is with much sorrow that the family of Marilyn Huggins (Young) announces her passing on February 2, 2021 surrounded by her devoted family. Marilyn fought a long hard battle with cancer for 15 months with grace, bravery, and dignity until her body could no longer withstand the pain. She leaves behind her loving and caring husband Robert (Bob) Huggins, and her children who loved her beyond infinity Robi Huggins, and Dana Huggins Hart (Andrew).  She will be missed by Katy and Buddy her loyal companions. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Mildred Young. Marilyn joins her sisters who also lost their battle with cancer in a few short years of each other Sherry Bulmer d. 2017 and Gwen Barrie d. 2019. Her grief was insurmountable at their loss. Fondly remembered by her brothers Rod (Charmaine) and Lloyd (Darlene) Young.  Marilyn worked at Laurie Jones and Company as a senior hairstylist for over 32 years.  She loved her career and was anxious to return to Laurie and her clients many of whom reached out to Marilyn all through her sickness. The letters, cards, and calls were appreciated. The family would like to thank her sister in laws Barb Pearce, Shirley Lester, and Deb Smith, for their dedicated kindness. In accordance with Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
