Our beloved mother, Marion Kent, age 97, passed away peacefully in hospital on April 4, 2026.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband, our Dad, Robert; parents, James and Marjorie Bell; brothers, Ed, Bert, Dick and sister, Bess Sage. She will be dearly remembered by Allan (Jeannette), David (Cheryl), Janice (Gary) and Dennis (Karen); grandchildren, Paula, Graig, Kimberley, Allan, Lucas, Madelyn and Carrissa; along with six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
While a lifelong resident of Peterborough, family and home were Mom's focus. Many memorable years were enjoyed by all, back at “the lake”. Mom was a prolific knitter/crocheter/sewer, and generously made beautiful gifts for family, friends and charity, which were very welcomed. She also liked to bake, do crafts and renew found treasures, while in later years, puzzle books were a favourite pastime.
We would like to express our gratitude to the many caregivers who supported and befriended Mom in recent years, allowing her to remain in the comfort of her home.
Cremation has taken place, with interment at a later date.
For those wishing to honour Mom, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
