HICKEY, Mary “Colleen” (nee Clancy)
Peacefully with her family by her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Hickey. Loving mother of Jeff Hickey (Allison) and Terry Hickey (Vicki). Cherished grandmother of Ashtyn, Jadyn, Claire, Charlotte and Shaina. Sadly missed by her sisters Marlene Blackbourn (Robert), Rose Marie Prentice (the late John) and the late Patricia Lowe (Bryan Taylor) and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph Clancy and Catherine “Marie” (nee Doherty). For over 40 years Colleen has been pillar of love, kindness and support in the St. Anne’s Parish community. Colleen was a founding and devoted member of the St. Anne’s Women's Group which she proudly served for 25 years. Colleen was always first to offer her services with her beautiful smile and loving disposition. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at ST. ANNE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH 859 Barnardo Ave., Peterborough at 10:30 AM. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In memory of Colleen, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
