JURIGA, Maureen Wendy May (nee Taylor)

(November 20, 1945 – July 10, 2020)

While surrounded by her family, Maureen passed away after a brief illness at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the age of 74. Loving and devoted mother of Rodney and his wife Cindy. Proud grandmother of Rhianne. Cherished sister of Terry Taylor (Rosalind), Sharon Hodge (Bill), Kathy Fox (Gary), Danny Taylor and Chris Taylor, and sister-in-law of Joy Taylor. “Auntie Mo” will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Maureen is predeceased by her parents Cyril and Nora (nee Hurren) Taylor and brother Bevan Taylor. Cherished memories from the supportive community in which she lived, and special thanks to those friends there who were a blessing in her daily life. Our grateful thanks to the PRHC ICU staff and Doctors for all their compassion and care in the last few weeks. In keeping with Maureen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Friday, July 24th, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. with the Graveside Service in the Highland Park Cemetery commencing at 3:00 P.M. Covid protocols will be in place. Masks are mandatory. Please contact Highland Park Funeral Centre for additional details.
