Milton McKenzie Obituary

McKenzie, Milton passed on June 25th, 2021, at the age of 73. Milton’s wife, Beverley, of 55 years, passed away in May, 2021. True love like theirs was a magical thing and their family finds comfort in knowing they are together again. Milton spent his final days surrounded by his girls and loved ones.
Milton’s memory will be carried on through his 4 beautiful daughters, Beverley Smith, Andrea Lamm, Jeanette McKenzie-Duncan, and Samantha MacDonald, and their fur baby, Hombre. Milton was a grandfather to 12 and great-grandfather to 4. He comes from a large family, all who loved him dearly. He will forever be in their hearts, as they have always been in his.

Milton enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones and family parties, but also loved quiet nights with Bev, watching tv with a bowl of ice cream or a bag of chips (sometimes both). His garage was his oasis where many memories were made with the guys, having a laugh and a beer, while tinkering away on things like his Harley. The sound of a motorcycle would have him grinning like a child, ear to ear. He and Bev travelled many miles together on their bikes, enjoying the sights and the peace of an open road. The grandchildren share the memory of their first bike ride with Grandpa.

Music was a part of Milton; he was the person that introduced his children and grandchildren to the music they still dance and sing along to today. Whether it was singing, playing the guitar, or a backyard jam with his brothers, music was in his blood. If you knew Milton, you were sure to think of him any time you heard Roy, Toby, or Waylon. That will undoubtedly carry on by all his loved ones for many years to come.

Milton had a kindness in his heart that is so rare to find and so much love to give that it would wrap around you ten times over. He was a person who would have given anyone anything, even if it would have left him with nothing. He was truly a one-of-a-kind man, who touched the heart of everyone he came across. He will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, talent, and unconditional love. Visitation will take place at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road on Friday, July 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, July 3rd from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
