 DOUGHERTY, MURIEL (MOLLY) (nee McCarrell)

 Surrounded by family and caring staff at Fairhaven on May 20, 2021, a few days short of her 98th birthday. Beloved wife of the late John Dougherty (d. 1992). Greatly missed by her loving daughters Susan and Elizabeth and sons Mark and Andrew (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of Todd, Sarah, Adam, Emily, Patrick, Tye and Molly. Much loved by many nieces, nephews and nine great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Sanford (d. 2011), sisters Patricia Archibald, Lorraine Opper and brother Elwood McCarrell. Molly was a force of nature who exemplified the best traits of the Greatest Generation. She was a proud, dignified woman who overcame many health battles, including bouts with cancer and losing a leg. At the same time, she was a loving and compassionate matriarch and friend who devoted her life to taking care of her family, especially her son Mark. Molly's greatest joy in life was contributing to the success and happiness of those around her. She leaves many shared and happy memories. Private family service will be held at a later date. Interment Little Lake Cemetery.
