It is with profound sadness that the family of Nancy Ruth Perry announces her passing at the age of 69. Nancy passed unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at her home on September 21, 2026.
Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Known for her warmth, sense of humour, and love of a good time, Nancy had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome. Whether she had known you for years or had only just met you, she made you feel as though you belonged.
Nancy shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Geoff. Together, they celebrated 47 years of marriage and were just two days away from their 48th wedding anniversary at the time of her passing.
Family was at the heart of Nancy’s life. She was an incredibly proud and devoted mother to her sons, Corey and Adam, and a cherished mother-in-law to Blakeny and Kelly. She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Gord, Gail, Heather, Greg, and Patti.
Nancy took tremendous pride in her sons and loved supporting them in all that they did. For many years, she could be found at the hockey rink, watching and cheering them on from the stands. In later years, that same joy continued with her three beloved grandchildren, Griffin, Hayes, and Mack. Watching her grandchildren play hockey became one of the great joys of her life.
Nancy treasured time spent with family and friends and brought laughter and warmth wherever she went. Her absence will be deeply felt, not only because she was so deeply loved, but because being around Nancy made you feel loved, too.
Nancy leaves behind her loving husband, Geoff; her sons, Corey and Adam; her daughters-in-law, Blakeny and Kelly; her grandchildren, Griffin, Hayes, and Mack; along with her extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched.
Her warmth, laughter, and love for her family will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A Celebration of Life Service for Nancy will be held in the Highland Park Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Down Syndrome Society.
